Sara Fox is a manager of programs at the San Diego Workforce Partnership. Here she tells a little bit about herself, both personally and professionally.
What professional moment or project are you most proud of?
I am really proud of all the work that I have done in workforce development, but if I had to pinpoint one project it would be the braiding of resources between our adult and youth workforce system that I am currently working on. It is important to provide the best services to the participants in our community.
What do you like best about working in workforce development?
I have been in workforce development since I was 19 years old. I started out as a young mom enrolling into one of the youth workforce programs in Montana and had no idea of what was next for me. I worked at one of the career centers as I went through college and then started my career in workforce development.
With all my experience in workforce development, I have really enjoyed being a part of a team here in San Diego County. It’s rewarding to be really changing the lives of the people in our community that we serve through the various workforce programs operated through the Workforce Partnership.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
I love to take pictures in my free time. I also enjoy traveling around the U.S. and Caribbean or anywhere that is around the ocean. My family is always my number one priority.
