Jessie is a specialist on our operations team. Below, he tells us about a typical workday, what he enjoys about workforce development and how he likes to spend his time out of the office.
A typical day for me as an operations and procurement specialist involves starting the day by reviewing dashboards and reports to see if I have any data maintenance or verification request that come up. Throughout the day, I dedicate time to managing supportive service requests and overseeing procurements, ensuring that all requests are completed in a timely manner. Additionally, I actively participate in meetings, collaborating with various teams to discuss ongoing projects, address user requirements and strategize improvements for an optimal Salesforce experience.
What do you like best about working in workforce development?
What I appreciate most about working in workforce development is the collaborative environment and the camaraderie with my coworkers, making each day enjoyable. The fulfilling nature of my role, where I contribute to empowering individuals and enhancing their skills, adds a meaningful dimension to my work. Knowing that my efforts positively impact the community by facilitating career growth and employment opportunities brings a sense of purpose to my role in workforce development.
What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?
Outside of work, I find joy in hitting the slopes and snowboarding with my friends. I also love exploring new destinations around the world and immersing myself in diverse cultures and experiences. Beyond that, spending quality time with my little family, which includes my fiancé and our furry friend Benito, brings me joy, whether it’s on adventurous outings or simply enjoying cozy moments at home.
