SDWP and the San Diego and Imperial Counties Community Colleges Association (SDICCCA) analyzed sectors that are vital to the regional economy, experiencing rapid growth and projecting skills shortages. Industry associations, businesses and organizations with industry expertise contributed to the study, helping workforce development further understand the employment needs of these priority sectors. The result is a detailed research report for each sector that can be used to conduct workforce planning and management of resources.
San Diego Unified School District Superintendent Cindy Marten will offer the keynote speech. Conference presentations will include an overview of the research findings and panel discussions with industry experts and employers. Topics for each priority sector will include:

- Profiles of middle-skilled occupations
