On June 22, 123 youth attended a recruitment and job-readiness event at the Jacob Center for Neighborhood Innovation with support from City of San Diego Mayor Kevin Faulconer’s office and the Commission on Gang Prevention and Intervention.

Job applicants networked with representatives from 17 employers and youth employment agencies, and learned résumé tips and interview skills with help from volunteers, including Darnisha Hunter from the mayor’s office as well as staff from SDWP.
