Employers are invited to learn how to apply for wage reimbursements, training subsidies and hiring resources at a Hiring Subsidies and Resources workshop hosted by SDWP and its partners. SDWP’s Business Services Team is traveling throughout the County to inform employers of how they can be reimbursed up to 50% of wages or training costs associated with hiring new employees — minimizing company risk, while getting people to work — a win, win for businesses, job seekers and the local economy.
The first workshop took place January 27 in partnership with the City of Carlsbad and Carlsbad Chamber of Commerce. More than 25 employers came out for this intimate employer workshop that helped them identify what programs would work best for their needs. SDWP is hosting a workshop on March 10 at Cooley, LLP. Additional Hiring Subsidies and Resources workshops are being scheduled throughout the county. Click here to find a workshop near you and register.
