Subject: Updated 70 Percent LLSIL and Poverty Guidelines for 2023

Purpose:

This operations issuance is notifying YSPs and Subrecipients of the updated 70 percent LLSIL and Poverty Guidelines for 2023. This update is made in the Attachment: Methods for Calculating Income as part of SDWP Operations Manual, Chapter 7, Part 2: WIOA Title I Youth Eligibility.

Action:

Intake and Eligibility staff must be notified of the update that will take effect on Friday, December 1st. Any eligibility that has been started (and not yet reviewed by 11/30) will have the income levels updated in Workforce eFile. Eligibility verification that was completed prior to 12/1 will be grandfathered into the previous guidelines.
