Provides entry-level job skills for the animal care industry. Students that pass the class may continue with the medically oriented Veterinary Assistant class in the Spring. Instruction includes medical terminology, anatomy, and physiology, infectious diseases, handling, and restraint, medicating and grooming, surgical preparation, safety, and other topics.
