Benefits

Access a diverse and highly skilled talent pool

We reduce your recruitment costs by providing concierge-level job-matching with pre-screened candidates from our competitive talent pool.

Our graduates complete rigorous coursework from our employer-selected preferred training providers, which includes accredited institutions Palomar College and MiraCosta College TCI.

Our ecosystem of education and supportive services produces high-quality talent trained in the technical, employable and soft skills sought out by manufacturing industry employers. This pipeline of talent is work-ready with a strong work ethic and perseverance that provides lasting value and return on investment to your business.

Leverage wage subsidies

Let us connect you to eligible wage subsidies to help you with your training costs:

  • SkillCraft facilitates the first 150 hours of subsidized wages for a job-ready candidate at no cost to the employer, saving you up to $3,000 for every hired candidate. This provides a great trial run experience with candidates before permanent employment is considered or offered.
  • If employment is offered after the SkillCraft-funded 150 hours and the candidate is deemed eligible for funds from the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA), On-the-Job Training (OJT) funds will reimburse employers up to 50 percent of an employee’s hourly wage for a maximum of 1,040 hours. Candidate eligibility is reviewed by internal San Diego Workforce Partnership teams.
