Unlock your potential and explore the careers you’re passionate about through Access to Career Pathways for Foster Youth. The San Diego Workforce Partnership and Access Inc. understand the importance of gaining real job experience and skills. Our program offers unique education, training and supportive opportunities to help you along your career pathway.  

We partner with Promises2Kids, Just in Time for Foster Youth and The Black Chamber of Commerce to assist you in obtaining paid work opportunities, trainings and education.

Who It's For

  • Ages 14–24 (participants must enroll prior to their 25th birthday)
  • Current or former foster youth

This program offers help:

  • Deciding what career is right for me
  • With starting school or a certificate program
  • Finding a temporary job or internship
  • Learning new job skills
  • Finding long-term employment
  • Social/emotional support
  • Supportive services including, but not limited to, work attire, healthcare, housing, mental health support, basic need assistance, transportation, etc.

How to Apply

Complete the application to begin enrollment. It usually takes 10–15 minutes to complete. After submission, you will receive an email with supplemental questions. Once that is submitted, our team will contact you about next steps.
