Mike R. was looking for a full-time position since the beginning of the year. Here he shares in his own words his path to a new position.
I have been a member of the South County Career Center since January of 2017 and I have finally landed the right kind of position for me. I am very appreciative of the services and resources provided at the center as currently do not have access to the internet at home and the library only allows for two hours of usage a day. It is possible that I would have found a job without the South County Career Center but it more than likely would have taken longer and I may not have of had the result I wanted.
Thank you for being a resource for me in my job search. The South County Career Center gave me a place to focus my job search and provided much need prints for interviews and directions to job sites. It is possible I could have done these things and found a job without the assistance. But, I know that the resources at the South County Career Center made the process easier and I will always be thankful for that.
I think it is important to point out to people to not get discouraged and treat their job search like a full-time job until they land what they are looking for. I did and I will miss going to the career center as gave me the resources I needed to treat my job search like a full-time job.
