The Workforce Partnership, is releasing this Request for Proposals (RFP) for $100,000 of WIA Youth funding in order to fund case management and wrap around services for approximately 40 students in the San Diego Urban Teacher Fellows (SDUTF) Program.

Specifically, the intent is to fund an organization to provide comprehensive case management services for  each participant and to assist them with their social and academic needs, including tutoring, study skills development or  other educational supports to ensure their success in a post-secondary setting. The SDUTF’s purpose is to prepare disadvantaged youth for employment in the after-school workforce, and create career pathways leading to community and teaching careers in San Diego County. The program will train and place economically disadvantaged youth and youth who are risk of being gang-involved, in a two year degree teacher preparation program at Mesa College leading to a teaching credential pathway at San Diego State University.

The Workforce Partnership is seeking proposals from organizations with experience managing WIA contracts, therefore proposals will only be accepted from agencies which have had a contract, or are a sub-contractor of an agency that has had a contract with the Workforce Partnership within the past two fiscal years.
