Subject: Closing of Intake for Dislocated Worker Emergency Additional Assistance Flood Relief
Purpose:
This operations issuance is to notify SDWP staff that intake for Emergency Additional Assistance (AA) Relief funding related to the January 2024 storm and flooding in the City and County of San Diego will be discontinued after August 31, 2024.
The Dislocated Worker Emergency Additional Assistance Flood Relief Policy (“Flood Relief Policy”) has been updated to reflect the discontinuation of intake and hence related eligibility determination for direct services using Emergency AA funds beginning September 1, 2024.
The updated Flood Relief Policy may be found in the Compliance SharePoint under Active Policies & Procedures and is linked below.
Action:
Effective September 1, 2024, SDWP staff will not intake participants for direct services under the Emergency AA Relief grant. Participants that have already initiated the intake process for direct services under the Flood Relief Policy no later than August 31, 2024 will continue to be considered for services.
