Subject: Dislocated Worker Emergency Additional Assistance Flood Relief Policy Issuance Update
Purpose:
EDD has awarded SDWP Additional Assistance (AA) funds to be used for dislocated workers who have been directly impacted by the January 2024 unprecedented atmospheric storms in the City and County of San Diego. This update provides guidance and additional information to include layoff aversion efforts.
This operations issuance is to notify SDWP staff that layoff aversion activities have been added to the Dislocated Worker Emergency Additional Assistance Flood Relief Policy that outlines administration of these funds.
The Policy can be found in the Compliance SharePoint under Active Policies & Procedures and is linked below.
Action:
Effective May 1, 2024, all SDWP staff are required to follow the guidelines outlined in the Policy. If you have any questions regarding this issuance or the Policy, please contact Operations@workforce.org.
