The new San Diego Central Library not only has 2.7 million books, a stunning reading room, and a wonderful children’s center filled with Dr. Seuss artwork, it also offers free career development services to job seekers through the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Career Center.
The career center, which opened its doors on September 30, 2013, was made possible through a $400,000 donation from Bank of America Merrill Lynch – one of the company’s largest single donations in San Diego County to date.
Located on the fifth floor of the library in room 555, the career center provides FREE individual and small group counseling services, resource materials, computer and resume assistance, and training workshops to make the process of finding a job or transitioning careers easy and successful. Additional tailored resources (bilingual resources) and specialized veteran services are also available.
By equipping job seekers with new skills and training, the Bank of America Merrill Lynch Career Center will help meet the needs of regional employers.
