Our career centers will now offer virtual evening appointments and increased bilingual staff, in addition to existing services like job interview preparation and helping clients identify their ideal career. Bringing services in-house allows for timely feedback and implementation of changes faster than ever before.

Assemblymember Brain Maienschein awarded the Workforce Partnership $10 million to create and administer programs that will train qualified job seekers for careers in the healthcare and public administration sectors. The funds will be used to establish a peer support specialist (PSS) training program and provide pathways to jobs in EMT, paramedic and firefighter occupations.

The Workforce Partnership is pleased to announce the appointment of two new board members to our Workforce Development Board: Efrem Bycer and Jamie Gardner.

Bank of America announced more than $825,000 in grants to 29 San Diego nonprofits, including the San Diego Workforce Partnership, to help drive economic opportunity for individuals and families.

The Conrad Prebys Foundation provided the Workforce Partnership with a $50,000 donation to cover the cost of purchasing 60 laptops equipped with Microsoft Office for program graduates of the Southeastern San Diego Live Well Career Training program. 

On May 26, Mayor Todd Gloria and the Workforce Partnership will host a free Creative Industries Job and Resource Fair. 

On April 30, the San Diego Workforce Partnership, San Diego Public Library and San Diego Public Library Foundation will host a free Career Exploration Workshop open to the public.

The JPMorgan Chase Foundation has awarded the San Diego Workforce Partnership with a $400,000 grant to pilot programs that provide underrepresented and low-income workers with support in launching meaningful careers in the healthcare industry.

The Workforce Partnership names four new board members: Connie Lundgren, Matt Martin, Aida Rosa and Mark Sutton.
