We were named as a winner of a philanthropic funding contest by national nonprofit Strada Education Network to increase access and diversity in tech through income share agreements (ISAs), a student loan alternative by which a student agrees to pay a small proportion of their income for a set period of time.

The San Diego Workforce Partnership is spearheading an initiative to help opportunity youth in San Diego County find meaningful employment in the service sector. Service sector roles include anything that is customer-facing, such as hotel or restaurant positions.

Today, the San Diego Workforce Partnership announces that funding awarded to Reimagine Retail San Diego has reached a total of $1.35 million since 2016. Through this effort, the organization works with employers to improve job quality, creates pathways to advancement for retail workers and uncovers opportunities to strengthen the region’s retail economy.

Bank of America today announced $532,500 in grants to more than 40 nonprofits that help address the needs of those at risk for or experiencing homelessness across San Diego. The grants focus on increasing access to shelter and wraparound supportive services, in addition to job skills, education and other basic needs that are fundamental to establishing financial stability.
