Thank you for your willingness to be a mentor.  This initiative is supported by the San Diego Rotary, the San Diego Workforce Partnership and other community partners. Your involvement is greatly appreciated. Together, we can make a profoundly positive impact on our participants and their career aspirations.

The Workforce Partnership will send you bios of several mentees that they feel would be a good match with your interests. You may select one of the recommended mentees or contact staff for other suggestions.

As a mentor you agree to the following:

  • Connect (in person and/or virtually) with your mentee(s) at least 2-3 times a month. When meeting in person, you will meet in a public place such as your workplace or a coffee shop.
  • Attend one of our half hour online training sessions to prepare you and get ideas of how best to be a mentor
  • Commit to 6-12 weeks as a mentor but can continue supporting your mentee beyond this time commitment if so desired
  • Fully release and hold harmless the Workforce Partnership and its employees and board from all liability and claims related to mentorship during or after your participation
  • If you choose to be paired with a mentee under the age of 18 a background check may be required
  • Understand that the Workforce Partnership has the final right of acceptance into and termination from the mentorship program

If you have any questions about these policies, please contact us at mentorship@workforce.org.
