Our interactive map displays different types of data across San Diego County — including workforce data, assets and needs in different areas throughout our region.

Developed in collaboration with the San Diego Policy & Innovation Center, this map, along with the full report, is designed to help inform workforce development strategies, identify areas of need throughout the region, and align community assets and resources with those needs.

How to use the map

Use our interactive map to view different types of data across San Diego County including workforce data, assets and needs in different areas throughout our region. You can explore this information by turning layers on and off.

About the layers

  • Data is organized into main categories such as Jurisdictions & Boundaries, Jobs & Workers, Assets, and Needs.

  • Each category contains subcategories (for example, “City Boundaries,” “Total Jobs” or “Career Centers”).

  • You can view these layers individually or combine them to see how different data sets overlap.

To explore the map

  1. Layers Icon Click the Layers icon on the top-right menu bar of the map.

  2. Dropdown Icon Expand a category by clicking the arrow to the left of its name — this will reveal its subcategories.

  3. View Icon Turn layers on or off by clicking the eye icon next to each category or subcategory.

    • The icon shows or hides that data layer on the map.
