Tina Ngo BartelSDWP is proud to announce that Research Manager Tina Ngo has been selected to participate in LEAD San Diego’s IMPACT San Diego program.

IMPACT San Diego focuses on education, networking and hands-on learning among San Diego’s brightest leaders. Fewer than 60 participants are chosen to participate in IMPACT San Diego, which is offered just once each year. Classes begin in September and continue for 9 months, covering topics such as the regional economy, city and county government agencies, global issues, technology, arts and culture, education, military, health and human services, sustainable infrastructure, law and society, and leadership training.

During the course of the program, participants will also gain hands-on experience through project work benefiting a community organization working with low-income and traditionally underserved communities in our region. Past projects have included the development of a communications and marketing plan, the creation of a business plan, and the development of a strategic plan. All elements of IMPACT are designed to give a deep understanding of the region and its future in order to equip leaders to make decisions that will positively impact San Diego.

The IMPACT selection committee sought to identify those most likely to demonstrate leadership abilities for the long-term benefit of our region. Ngo demonstrated her fit for the program through an application and interview process with LEAD before being selected.

“It is an honor to be selected into the IMPACT program,” Ngo says. “I have never encountered a program where so many people from diverse backgrounds all have such positive experiences. I look forward to the upcoming year and to representing SDWP as best as I can.”
