Haley Stayton is a Program Specialist with the San Diego Workforce Partnership (SDWP). Here she describes a professional moment she’s proud of, discusses what she likes best about working in workforce development and shares what she enjoys doing outside of the office.

SDWP Staff Profile: Meet Haley StayonWhat professional moment or project are you most proud of?

I am so proud that I had the opportunity to work on HPOG for almost the entire five-year duration of the program. I worked closely with so many awesome team members and participants. Seeing the program evolve was a great learning experience and we saw amazing outcomes.

What do you like best about working in workforce development?

The people that I work with every day! My SDWP teammates, Expanded Subsidized Employment staff at the job centers and participants are a constant reminder of what we are capable of. We all come together and support one another no matter what and, at the end of the day, numbers ALWAYS equate to the services we provide and the people we assist.

What do you enjoy doing when you’re not working?

When I’m not working I’m usually exploring San Diego with my two-year-old son.
