SDWP CEO Peter Callstrom was in Washington, D.C. January 17–19 for the U.S. Conference of Mayors (USCM) 85th Winter Meeting.
“The USCM is an incredible gathering of mayors and community leaders, focused on our shared priorities,” says Callstrom.
As part of USCM, the Workforce Development Council (WDC) comprises over a hundred workforce leaders from around the country. Peter was elected to the board of the WDC in 2013.
“I’m honored to serve on this board,” says Callstrom. “The WDC works closely with our mayors to advise and deliver innovative workforce programs and policy.”
The WDC meeting included expert panels, meetings with mayors, sharing best practices and invaluable networking.
“Involvement on the WDC has already led a number of benefits to our region,” explains Callstrom. “These include funding, key relationships, corporate connections, philanthropic opportunities, and much more.”
