Did you know? Since 1920, United Way of San Diego County has been an agent of change. Yet their role as a community leader in solving Health & Human Services issues has remained unchanged.

They advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. They focus is on education, income and health — integrate these human needs and you have the building blocks for a good life.

Why? Because statistics show us that:

  • Every year, a million teens drop out of high school
  • Only one in three working parents earn enough to support their families
  • Only one in three adults are considered healthy

To help solve these community issues, the United Way recruits the people and organizations who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. As they work to strengthen our community and bring real solutions to our region’s most pressing problems, they help improve the lives of all San Diegans.
