San Diego Workforce Partnership President and CEO Peter Callstrom has been named to the San Diego Regional Continuum of Care Council (RCCC) governance board. The RCCC is a community-based forum focused on homelessness in the San Diego region. The group consists of representatives of the 18 cities within the county, nonprofit service providers and other interested parties. The group meets on a monthly basis to identify gaps in homeless services, establish funding priorities and pursue an overall systemic approach to addressing homelessness.

“It’s an honor to serve on the RCCC Board,” Callstrom says. “Having worked on homelessness issues in my work prior to joining the SDWP, it is clear that one critical component to solving homelessness is employment. I look forward to working with my colleagues to find new solutions to this community crisis.”

The RCCC receives millions of dollars in federal funds to address homelessness under the Homeless Continuum of Care (CoC) Program of the Homeless Emergency Assistance and Rapid Transition to Housing (HEARTH) Act. The RCCC recently transformed its governance structure in accordance with the HEARTH Act and announced the members selected to serve on the first Governance Board as per a community nomination process.

The full roster of the RCCC governance board is available here.
