Workforce Conference 2015: Identifying, Tackling and Closing the Skills Gap offered an in-depth look at newly released labor market information and regional workforce development initiatives underway across San Diego County.
Last year, SDWP and the San Diego and Imperial Counties Community Colleges Association (SDICCCA) analyzed sectors that are vital to the regional economy, experiencing rapid growth and projecting skills shortages. The research detailed the challenges in each sector.
This year’s research and conference respond to those challenges. Conference presentations will include an overview of the research findings, panel discussions with industry experts and employers, and a lunch-time keynote address.
